Booking, Deposits & Service Policies

The practical details.

Deposits, notice periods and what happens if something is not right. Nothing here is designed to catch you out. It is here so we both know where we stand before your appointment.

Last updated August 2026

Booking & Deposits

  • A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to book any 15 – 30 minute consultation or full-head installation. The deposit is applied toward your hair purchase, service or installation.
  • Extension appointments need a dedicated multi-hour block, so please allow for the full time when you book.
  • Color and extension work is quoted at your consultation, before anything begins.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling with more than 48 hours’ notice carries no penalty.
  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, and no-shows, forfeit the deposit.
  • If you are running late, please let me know. I will always do what I can, though a shortened appointment may mean adjusting what we can finish that day.

Client-Supplied Hair

You are welcome to bring your own hair. A release of liability is required for any hair not purchased through me.

  • I inspect client-supplied hair before installation, checking quality and durability, shedding, tangling and cuticle condition.
  • I may decline to install hair that will not hold up. That is to protect the finished result, since you are the one who has to wear it. With a signed release, we can proceed.
  • Labor-only installation is charged per 25g increment, or by weft, based on standard pricing, to account for the method, materials, time and labor involved.
  • Prices do not include tax or gratuity, and no additional discount applies to client-supplied hair.

Adjustments

Every service is customized to the person in the chair. If something is not sitting right, tell me.

If you have a concern

Let me know within 7 days of your appointment and I will book you in for an assessment. Depending on what we find, that can include:

  • Color refinement or toning
  • Haircut or shaping refinements
  • Installation adjustments
  • Minor service corrections

How complimentary adjustments work

Complimentary adjustments are available within 7 days of your appointment, carried out by me, where the concern relates to the service I performed.

Not covered as a complimentary adjustment

  • A change of mind or preference after the service is complete.
  • A different color, length, style or technique than the one we agreed.
  • Work altered by someone else afterwards, including another salon visit or self-maintenance.
  • Results affected by not following the aftercare I recommend.

Refunds & Final Sale

Hair & retail products

For hygiene reasons, extension hair, hairpieces, wigs and opened retail products are final sale. No refunds, returns or exchanges.

Services

Completed services are final sale. If you are not happy with a result, the adjustment policy above is how we put it right.

Payment

Payment is due in full when your service is finished. Tax and gratuity are not included in service or hair pricing.

Hair History & Expectations

The goal is the best result your hair can safely take. Being straight with each other at the consultation is what makes that possible.

Every head of hair is different, and results vary with condition, texture, previous chemical services, home care and overall hair health. I will always tell you honestly what can be achieved safely, and a result that cannot be reached safely in one appointment is not something I will promise.

Hair grows, fades and changes. Color, extensions and smoothing treatments all need upkeep to keep looking their best.

Please tell me about

This is not box-ticking. Undisclosed chemical history is the most common reason a result does not go to plan, and it is the one thing I cannot see by looking at your hair.

  • Previous color, bleach, lightener or toner
  • Relaxers, perms, keratin or smoothing treatments
  • Henna, metallic dyes or box color
  • Extensions, wigs, toppers or other hair systems
  • Medications, allergies or medical conditions affecting your hair or scalp
  • Any previous damage, breakage or scalp concerns

Aftercare

You will leave knowing how to keep your result: which products matter, what to avoid, and when to come back. Color, extensions and smoothing treatments all hold up far better with the right home care.

Extension clients get a full aftercare guide covering washing, drying, brushing, sleeping, heat and maintenance intervals for the method you have.
