No method is universally best. Each one trades something: chair time, flatness of the bond, how much weight your hair can carry, how often you come back.
Silicone-lined beads are cinched onto small sections of your natural hair to act as anchors, and wefts of hair are then hand-sewn onto the row between them.

Individual bead method
Individual strands are attached with a silicone-lined bead clamped around your own hair. No heat and no glue.
Often chosen for finer hair, and for anyone wanting the most natural strand-by-strand movement. Suitability is confirmed at consultation.
Applied strand by strand, so the hair separates and falls the way loose hair does.
Typically 6 – 9 weeks before the beads are moved up.
Individual keratin bond
Pre-tipped keratin bonds are fused to individual strands with a heated tool, creating a bond that lies flat and blends close to invisibly.
Clients wanting the most seamless, flattest bond and willing to sit for a longer appointment.
Applied strand by strand, so it takes the most chair time of any method offered.
Typically 8 – 10 weeks before removal and re-bonding.
Thin, pre-taped wefts are sandwiched around small sections of your own hair for a flat, seamless bond.
Anyone wanting length or volume with the shortest appointment time.
One of the fastest methods to apply, with minimal time in the chair.
Typically 4 – 8 weeks before removal and re-taping.
A halo or clip-in set you put in yourself at home in a few minutes. Nothing is attached to your hair permanently.

You are welcome to bring your own hair, with a signed release of liability. It gets inspected first for quality and durability, shedding, tangling and cuticle condition.
If hair will not hold up, I will tell you before it goes in rather than after. Installation can be declined on that basis, because a poor quality install reflects on both of us and you are the one who has to wear it.
Labor-only installation is charged per 25g increment or by weft. Tax and gratuity are not included, and no additional discount applies to client-supplied hair.

Any extension puts some weight on your natural hair, so suitability depends on your density, your hair health and how much weight your hair can safely support. Assessed properly, weighted correctly and maintained on schedule, the risk is low. Most damage I see comes from bonds set too tight, too much weight for the hair, missed maintenance appointments, or removal attempted at home.
Longer than most people expect, which is why extension work is booked as a dedicated multi-hour block rather than squeezed between other clients. It depends on the method: tape-ins are among the fastest to apply, while K-tip fusion goes in bond by bond and takes the most chair time of anything I offer. You get a realistic time estimate at your consultation so you can plan the day around it.

Bead and tape methods are frequently chosen for finer hair because they distribute weight differently. This is exactly what the consultation is for. If I do not think extensions are safe for your hair right now, I will tell you, and I will explain what would need to change first.
Yes to all three. Rows and bonds are placed so they stay hidden in a ponytail or an updo. For swimming, chlorine and salt water both dry the hair out, so wet it with clean water first, tie it up, and rinse and condition afterwards. After the gym, dry the roots and the attachment area rather than leaving them damp.
That is what a move-up is. Your existing hair is taken down, the attachment is redone closer to the root, and the same hair goes back in. How many times it can be reused comes down to the quality of the hair and how it has been looked after. I check its condition at every appointment and will tell you honestly when a set is reaching the end of its life rather than reinstalling hair that will not hold up.
Color, length and texture are matched at the consultation against real swatches. Matching is done to your ends rather than your roots, which is what makes an install read as your own hair.
